The National Hormone Laboratory operates within the National Center for Women’s Health.
All of the reproductive hormones are assayed in the Institute’s in-house specialty laboratory. In this fashion, results can be reported promptly and with a high level of accuracy. The monitoring of hormone levels is an extremely important part of reproductive care.
This laboratory, under the medical and technical supervision of Thomas W. Hilgers, MD, can perform assays of nearly every reproductive hormone there is. It is a dedicated reproductive hormone laboratory which is CLI approved for interstate commerce. It is also licensed by the State of Nebraska and the Department of Health and Human Services. It participates in the College of American Pathologist (CAP) Interlaborator Comparison Program. For further information call (402) 390-6600.
